BED BUG EXTERMINATION – 6 MONTH WARRANTY

Bed bugs have had a resurgence in the U.S. in recent years. Experts speculate that this is because of increased world travel and more significant movement of people in general. Consequently, more of our customers have to deal with these insects. Bed bugs are notoriously difficult to get rid of. Because of this, if you suspect you have bed bugs, you should work with a professional pest control provider who specializes in bed bug extermination, like ours in the surrounding area. We were top-rated on Home Advisor and received Best Pest Control in 2019.

Bed Bugs are the worst hitchhikers. Because when you bring them home, they multiply and you are the food! Bed bugs will spend their time where you sit or lay for extended periods of time.  Think Netflix and chill.  So the couch is the main hub.  They lay eggs in your couch, the eggs hatch, and they are attracted to your body heat and the CO2 you breathe.  From there, they hitchhike to every bedroom in the house. It is very rare to have bedbugs on only one bed. It’s also impossible to warranty because the odds of you re-infesting the area that has been treated is extremely high.  That’s why we offer the 6 month warranty.  Treat the whole house and we guarantee you’re in the clear.  If you happen to visit the same place you picked them up the first time, we’ve got you.  We will come back for free to handle the invaders.

A great bed bug service follows these steps:

  • Thorough Inspection and identification
  • A plan of attack
  • Prep for treatment (this one is you)
  • Full Extermination
  • Follow up Treatment for any eggs that hatched
  • Everything back to normal – no itching or being bugged out!

How to Identify Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are small insects, only reaching about 4.5mm. They are flat, oval, with a dark brown to reddish-brown color.

Bed bugs feed on blood, and consequently are most attracted to humans, though they have been known to feed on pets, rodents, and birds. The bed bug life cycle is around six to 12 months, and they have been known to live for months without a food source. Because of this, they are challenging to eradicate without professional help.

Bed bugs can enter our homes in several ways, including:

  • On luggage
  • In shipping boxes and packages
  • On second-hand furniture
  • On mattresses and clothing
  • Tracked in on our shoes and clothing
  • From neighboring buildings, apartments, and homes

Many people erroneously associate them with a messy or dirty home. This is not true. Bed bugs are attracted to food sources, namely humans. They are transmitted very quickly and through no fault of your own. If you find that you have them in your home, you should not be embarrassed. Just call Green Machine Pest Control, and we will send out one of our bed bug control specialists to help you deal with the issue.

WHY YOU NEED A WARRANTY:

Warranties are important because you may have visited a friend or a friend visited you and that’s how you received bed bugs. To prevent re-infestation, it is important to do your own research of who you visit and where you have spent time to track down the source of the bed bugs.

Bed Bug FAQ's

Yes. Liquid treatment is more cost effective. It typically requires less effort for the customer when it comes to prep work.  And there is less damage to your home and belongings (if any) compared to a heat treatment that requires your home get above 140 degrees to kill bed bugs and their eggs.

Possibly. Bed bugs are very good at hiding.  So it’s possible they will hide in areas that go untreated. This is why we use a fog to activate them and get them to move around while the product is still wet. This is also why we do a 2nd service. We want to ensure that any bed bug left behind is handled.

Not always. Bed bugs can be such good hiders that even bed bug sniffing dogs have a hard time finding them. You may have bed bugs and it could realistically be a 50/50 chance we can find them in an inspection. But we still want to inspect because if we can find one and identify it, then we can for sure resolve your problem.
