FAQS – General Pest Control Treatment

Whether we like it or not, bugs are a part of nature and sometimes they make themselves a part of our lives (most of the time unwanted). Home remedies and killing the bugs around us can only go so far.

At Green Machine, we offer many different services to help you with all your different pest needs. Our primary service at the heart of all we do is the General Pest Control Treatment. This service is the best value. It covers the largest variety of pests to give you the most bang for your buck. You should be able to enjoy your time at home with the peace of mind that you will not get stung or bitten by something venomous in your home.We know that they are a nuisance and that no person should have to deal with them in their personal spaces.

Below are some frequently asked questions that we get about our General Pest Control Service:

What does a General Pest Control Treatment entail?

Spraying around the base and foundation of the house/building as well as the wall around the yard.

Taking a long brush and getting all of the cobwebs in the eves.

Every home starts with an Initial Flush. It’s an extra detailed service to flush pests from every crack and crevice. This service includes liquid, granules, dusting, wiping, and more!

Why should I get my house treated regularly?

Bugs lay eggs. An Initial Flush will take care of about 80% of adults as they forage for food. But repeat services are needed to ensure the rest of the egg-laying adults do not reproduce, and to catch the eggs as they hatch. We don’t want the cycle to start all over.

Also different seasons bring different pests. Be prepared by having an expert hit the ants during the rainy season, the crickets and scorpions during the winter, the roaches during the fall, and spiders with the winter wind. Just to name a few.

If you are not getting a regular treatment with just an occasional treatment instead, it will kill some of the bugs and prevent some from coming back, but ultimately more will just keep coming onto your property.

What pests are covered in the General Pest Control Treatment?

Almost all pests! Scorpions, crickets, spiders, earwigs, american roaches, ants, beetles, and many more! It is important to get your home and yard treated regularly, to keep these types of bugs away.

What pests are not covered in the General Pest Control Treatment? And why not?

There are a couple of pests that require special services because of the way that they invade or building a tolerance to pesticides. Some of these pests that require a special service include:

  • BedBugs
  • Bees
  • Carpet Beetles
  • Fleas and Ticks
  • Gophers
  • German Roaches
  • Squirrels
  • Termites
  • Rodents

These are all services that we offer in addition to the general pest control treatment.

If you think you are having issues with any of these pests, give us a call and we can schedule your FREE inspection today.

How often should my house be getting treated?

Every quarter or bi-monthly. So every 2-3 months depending on the property as well as how big the pest issues on the property are. However, if you find that you are having pest issues in between your regularly scheduled appointments, please give us a call. Since we don’t live with you, we don’t know if you are having any pest issues so let us know when you see any issues and we will come out there to do a free re-service with whatever specific issue you are having.

Is the treatment pet and kid friendly?

Yes! We recommend that when the technician is there, to put the pets in another area or room if possible because although it will not do any harm to them, animals have a better sense of smell and we do not want them licking up or rolling around in the treatment making it less effective against the pests. The product will not harm them because it is meant to kill something 1/1000th of our size, but we don’t want your pets smelling like the product or licking it up so it can’t do its job.

We want to make your life as problem free as we can! We strive to bring peace to your life, and frankly we are the best pest control company to do so. If you want to get rid of your pests for good, give us a call for a free quote.
